~A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT~

The D'Ambrosio Bakery is steeped in history, anchored in old world values, and cherished for its reputation for high quality Italian breads and rolls. For over 67- years, D'Ambrosio has serviced its demanding & growing customer base with a passion and concern that is rarely seen in the bakery industry today. Because of this genuine focus, D'Ambrosio has grown to become one of the largest suppliers of fresh bread products in the Mid-Atlantic Sates and it is poised for an even brighter future.

Today, D'Ambrosio operates 7-days per week to support our dedicated team of independent sales and delivery associates. Our Associates pick- up, “fresh & warm from the oven”, breads and rolls and deliver them daily to their customers within a 90-mile radius of Philadelphia. Our end-user customer base is much diversified and represents virtually all types of operations; from pizzerias, to sandwich shops, to exclusive caterers, to fine-dining restaurants, to theme parks, to business dining companies and to many institutional type operations. Our product line has something to offer to everyone.

Soon, D'Ambrosio will be expanding on many fronts.  Thanks to our positive & growing national reputation; we have been asked to begin a frozen bread and roll program. Customers from across the United States have requested our product to use in their operations. As of April 1st, they will be able to buy our special process/flash frozen products nationwide, through a series of independent and chain distribution companies. Part of this new product line will be a truly unique & supreme line of par-baked, hearth breads and rolls, under our Prima and Bellisimo Brand. We are very excited about seeing the D'Ambrosio Brands across the country.

On the local front, our sales and delivery associates have asked us to become a more important partner with them. We are working hand in hand with our team to research new and complimenting line items that we could produce and/or co-pack, so that we can become a bigger, more important catalyst in our driver's success. So, our local end-user customers can stay-tuned for bagels, commercial bread, croissants, Philly pretzels and sweet goods.

All of this positive sales and production growth means one thing: more. More people, more equipment, more trucks and more space. D'Ambrosio is working very closely with the City of Philadelphia, PIDC and the State of Pennsylvania to create an expansion plan that is timely and positive for everyone. D'Ambrosio was born, bred and grown in Philadelphia and we are committed to making it our home for a long time to come. As we get closer to expanding or moving our plant, we will keep all of employees, customers, suppliers and neighbors well-informed.
