In October of 1977, the D'Ambrosio family took their biggest risk ever by buying a 10,000 square foot facility (the old Path-Mark Food Store) at 31st and Reed Streets. It was time to get automated, so all new machinery and systems were installed. They thought the property was too big, too expensive and that they would never use all of the machinery & space.  You guessed it; they were wrong. The customers demand for the D'Ambrosio product kept growing, so in 1985 an addition was made to the building that doubled its size and added a full second production line. Again, in 1991, another large plant expansion occurred that added two 40,000 pound capacity flour silos and the larger oven were installed.

It is very obvious that Vincent D'Ambrosio Sr.'s dream and vision and honesty and hard work are strongly entrenched in the heart and minds and souls of his two sons.  Now, at 67-years in operation, it is apparent that Chris and Vincent Jr. have done well by their Father's legacy and they have set their company up for a bright and beautiful future.

In the summer 2005, the family chose to sell the family business to a small group of local investors.  The D'Ambrosio family would not just sell to anyone and they would not sell to someone that would diminish what they and their father had worked so hard to accomplish. The new owners had to possess the same kind of passion, integrity and vision for the company that the D'Ambrosio family had built its business on. There had to be a full commitment to take the company onward and upward in the most distinguished and professional style.

The future calls for product line expansion, sales force expansion, geographic expansion and the addition of a frozen roll line for distribution nationwide. D'Ambrosio will also grow by acquiring other like-minded, quality companies with in the industry. The new company is proud to have the challenge and responsibility of carrying on the D'Ambrosio legacy for many, many years to come.
